The Food Adventures of Baby I Love Greens (aka weaning!)….
7th May 2014
I can’t quite believe it but Miss I Love Greens is 5 months old. It seems like only yesterday that she was a tiny dot all curled up in my arms and we were muddling through getting to know one another. We’ve managed to get over the hurdles of tongue tie (missed until about 7 weeks), thrush (lasting about 3 months) and all the other practicalities to become very happy breast feeding. But the time has come to start thinking about introducing her to a world of different tastes and textures. Initially I felt sad at this prospect; just another stepping stone away from her days as a newborn. However, I’m beginning to feel excited that I get to introduce her to my passion in life – FOOD!
I’ve decided that because this is what I do, it would be fantastic to share our journey with you all. Now this is a bit daunting for me because whilst I know all (well perhaps not all, but quite a lot) of the theory behind the introduction to solids (aka as weaning), I’ve never actually had a little person to experiment with. And despite my knowledge and training I’m still just a new Mummy trying to do the best I can. And now I’ve just invited you all in to share it – arrrgghh! Anyway I’m sure we’ll have a few ups and downs but I guess we’ll muddle through it.
We’ve got a couple of weeks until we start so until then……..
